READ:  John 17:1-26

THANKSGIVING – Psalm 145:1&2

PERSONAL REPENTANCE

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. (Romans 7:5)

Let us Pray:  Repent for the works of the flesh that brings death in life.

REPENTANCE FOR THE SINS OF THE CHURCH AND NATIONS

Offer Prayers of Repentance for Sin in the Church:

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. (Ephesians 4:17-19)

Let us Pray:  Repent for the church in any way we have walked in the vanity of our minds instead of the spirit and yielding ourselves to uncleanness and defiled ourselves.

Let us Pray:   For Revival in the Church.  (Joel 2:28-29)

Offer Prayers of Repentance for Sin in our Nation:

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord. (2 Chronicles 15:8)

Let us Pray:  Repent of all idol worship, violence, wickedness, abominations, slavery and acts of unrighteousness committed by our nation.  Pray that we repair the altar of the Lord.

Let us Pray: For Spiritual Awakening. (Matthew 4:16)

EVANGELISM

Let us Pray:  According to John 17:20, pray that all will have faith in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

Let us Pray: According to John 17:26, pray that the people hearing the message of the gospel will come to knowledge, faith and love of God.

Let us Pray: Ask the Lord for a heart of compassion and love for His people for evangelism; so that we will obey the great commission. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

USA – ELECTIONS AND LEADERS

Let us Pray:  Pray for Democratic and Republican Conventions and the 2016 Presidential Election – General Election – November 8, 2016.

Let us Pray:  Pray for all elected and appointed officials (President, governors, mayors, school officials, councilmen, judges, police chief etc). We declare they shall rule in righteousness, justice, and the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 32:1)

THE CHURCH

Let us declare:  The Church will be one (united) even as Jesus and the Father are one (John 17:23)

Let us declare:  Jesus has kept the Church and none shall be lost. (John 17:12)

Let us declare:  The Church shall be sanctified through His Truth, for His Word is Truth. (John 17:17)

Let us declare:  The Glory of God will be manifested in the Church. (John 17:22)

Warfare

Let us pray:  See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. (Jeremiah 1:10)

AMERICA

Let us Pray:  All terrorist organizations will be exposed and destroyed. The Lord will frustrate the devices of all terrorists, so that their hands achieve no success. (Psalm 86:14, Job 5:12)

WAILING WOMEN WORLDWIDE

’TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS

’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

And to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus says the Lord!”

Refrain

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

Refrain

Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

Refrain

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

HOW GREAT THOU ART

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the *worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the *rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:

Refrain

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:

How great thou art! How great thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:

Refrain

And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Refrain

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then *I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim,
 My God, how great thou art!
